Payment Policy
Version 1.0 (October 2026)
This policy explains when payment is due for a confirmed booking. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. No payment is taken for an enquiry
A booking enquiry sent through our website is not a confirmed booking, and you do not pay anything when you send it.
2. Deposit
Once we have accepted your booking and confirmed the final price, a deposit of 50% of the total agreed price is payable.
The deposit is part of the total agreed price, not an additional charge.
3. Balance
The remaining 50% is payable either the day before collection or on collection day, whichever you prefer, but it must be paid in full before loading begins.
Example: on a £200 booking, the deposit is £100 and the balance of £100 is paid the day before or on collection day, before loading begins.
4. Payment before the service
We will not begin the transport service until the required payment has been received and cleared.
5. How to pay
You can pay using the methods we confirm to you when we accept your booking. Secure online and telephone payments will be offered once they are available; they are not yet active. We will send you payment instructions directly. We will never ask for card details by email.
6. Additional charges
Additional waiting time (£50 per hour, per man, calculated proportionately) and any agreed toll, ferry or parking charges are payable once the amount is known, as we will explain to you.
7. Late payment
If the balance has not been paid before loading is due to begin, we will contact you and will not begin loading until it is paid. If it is still not paid, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you, in which case our Cancellation and Refund Policy applies.
8. Refunds
Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of being agreed, as explained in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
